Linda Bazalaki was crowned Miss Uganda in 1994. She became an instant celebrity, with her beautiful love story and engaging character that people couldn’t help but root for.
Nowadays, winners of the Miss Uganda crown receive a REDDS-sponsored Toyota Raum or Spacio. However, Linda won the title back when glamour hadn’t yet arrived in town. Therefore, she was given a wardrobe and plane ticket to South Africa as part of her prize package.

Where She Is Now?
Since winning the crown, Linda went on to work as an air hostess for Captain Roy’s Alliance Air in the mid-1990s. She traveled around the world, representing Uganda in various beauty pageants and events.
Linda also continued to use her platform to advocate for important causes such as HIV/AIDS awareness and girls empowerment. During one of her trips she met her husband, a South African airline pilot. In recent years they have been living in Johannesburg with their three children.
Linda is still actively involved in the beauty pageant scene and has recently joined forces with The Miss Uganda Foundation as an ambassador, supporting youth to reach their full potential. She also works as a TV presenter and radio host, and most recently she made headlines when she showed off her growing baby bump on Facebook. Linda is expecting twins, a cause for celebration!
It’s uplifting to see how Linda has grown since winning the Miss Uganda crown all those years ago. She continues to make an impact in society, inspiring young people to follow their dreams. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors.
